Geography

The Department of Geography was established in 1991 along with the establishment of the college. Dr. Pramod A. Wadate was appointed in October 1994. He is a recognized research advisor of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur and so far seven students have completed their Ph.D. under his guidance. He was a member of the Geography Studies Board of the university during 2005-10. Apart from this, he is the Joint Secretary of Maharashtra Geography Council. This is a state-level organization of university and college teachers of geography.

Like all other departments, this department also adopts effective teaching and evaluation methods and scores well in the university examinations every year. This department has produced many meritorious students till now. Dr. Nalini W. Rewatkar, Assistant Professor of Geography at Ramakrishna Wagh College, Bokara (Koradi), is one of the students of this department. The Department of Geography organized a two-day national level conference on the topic of landless labourers in December 2015.
