Physical Education & Sports

The Department of Physical Education was established with the establishment of the College itself in 1991. Prof. P. S. Nagrale was the first faculty to get appointed in the department in 1999. He was there up to 2006 and then for some technical reasons beyond the control of the institution, Prof. Ajiet Jachak and Mr. Dhananjay Deote looked after the department for about five years till the appointment of Dr. Alka A. Thodge in 2011. Her arrival revived the glorious tradition of the department and the number of athletes representing the college at various levels and bringing laurels to the institute increased. Many players from the department have represented the institute in various events at all important levels up to national level.
