Geography

The Department of Geography was established with the establishment of the College itself in 1991. Dr. Pramod A. Wadate was appointed in Ocober 1994. He is an approved research supervisor of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur and six students have completed their Ph.D. under his guidance so far. He was a member of Board of Studies of Geography of the university from 2005-10 and occupies the same position even now. Moreover, he is one of the directors of Maharashtra Bhugol Parishad – a State Level association of university and college teachers of Geography.

Like all other departments, this department also follows effective teaching and evaluation methods and gives good results in the university examinations every year. The department has produced many good students so far. Dr. Nalini W. Rewatkar, Assistant Professor of Geography in the Ramkrishna Wagh College, Bokara (Koradi) is one of the products of this department. The Department had organized a two-day National Level Conference on Landless Labour on
January 8-9, 2015.
